Action's field-mount two-wire transmitters are rugged units that receive DC signals or direct sensor inputs and operate from remote power in harsh environments. The FieldPak series is designed for use in hazardous areas and utilizes a twin housing enclosure for maximum environmental protection.

All circuit boards are urethane coated and enclosed in a sealed, die-cast aluminum housing that protects against corrosion, moisture, dust and EMI/RFI interference.

The outer explosion-proof enclosure isolates the input/output terminals and affords extra protection against extreme moisture, hose-directed water (NEMA 4) or hazardous environments and includes ready-to-install 3/4" NPT (1/2" NPT inserts) ports for easy hookup and operation. All FieldPak two-wire transmitters are wide ranging and offer field configurable, switch selectable ranges.

Two Wire Transmission
Two-wire transmitters offer several major advantages over conventional four-wire types, which require two-wires for the output signal and two more for the power supply, typically 120VAC.

In applications where the process sensor may be located up to several thousand feet away from the instrument being operated, two-wire transmitters are more advantageous because their current outputs do not attenuate over distance as do the voltage signals of typical four-wire signal conditioners.

Hazardous Environments
All FieldPaks are Factory Mutual certified as explosion-proof in Class I groups B, C & D and Class II, Groups E, F & G hazardous locations.

For additional safety, FieldPaks are also FM approved for intrinsically safe operation in Class I, Division 1 and 2 hazardous locations when connected in accordance with manufacturer.
